“I spent millions on judges”

“Ho speso 200 milioni di euro per consulenti e giudici. Ops. Avvocati.”

A dead man talking is Silvio Berlusconi. Or at least one would hope so, following this side-splitting performance in which the serving Italian prime minister claimed that he’d spent millions of euros on judges, only to correct himself and explain that he in fact meant “lawyers”.

A subtle difference.

Berlusconi also described himself as the most persecuted person “in the entire history of the world”, and “the best prime minister we can find today”.

Gordon Brown’s reputation is thus irreparably damaged.
