Midsummer madness – greeting the solstice dawn

It’s three in the afternoon, and I’ve just got out of bed. But I have an excuse for this indulgent behaviour, for I was up all through the night, as part of my London Cycling Campaign activities, helping lead a large group of cyclists on a relaxed and convivial ride through central London to Primrose Hill. The weather was perfect.

On arriving at Primrose Hill we watched the sun rise on the longest day of the year.

Happy summer solstice!

Many thanks to LCC office manager Lu Everett and her beau Dick Vincent for leading this year’s Midsummer Madness ride.
