What a naughty, disrespectful boy is Evening Standard investigations reporter Tom Harper, who today covers Brian Leveson’s conference jolly in Sydney, Australia.
As well as citing the prank call by Australian radio presenters to royally preggers Kate Windsor’s London hospital as evidence for the need for new privacy laws, Leveson is quoted as saying…
“Judges do not enter into discussion about their judgments… Judges do not respond to comment, however misconceived. Nor do they seek to correct error.”
And then, to rub salt into Leveson’s self-inflicted wound, Harper points out to his readers that the learned judge was at the time “…speaking to a £620-a-head audience at the Shangri-La Hotel”.
Read it for yourselves; I am not making this up.
